Calm Before the Storm

The sun slowly breaks

through the clouds above

and the rays bleed down

gripping land like a glove.

The ominous clouds

sail on their way

and the darkness is chased

to lands far, far away.

For just one moment,

all is calm and right

but the next storm is coming,

so hang on to the light.
