Meow That’s What I Call Music: Volume 5 Ed Sheeran Edition

Fish, you know I want your fin
Your fin was pawmade for somebody like me
Come on now, you be my treat
I am not crazy, just feed me
Say, fish, let’s not talk too much
Grab you with my paw and put that fish in me
Come on now, just feed me
Come, come on now, just feed me
I’m in love with the shape of you.

I found a fish, for me
Yummy just dive right out
And into my tummy
Well I found a fish, beautiful and sweet
I never knew you were the flavor waiting for me.

Give a little fish to me, or just leave now
We’ll play hide and seek to turn this around
And all I want is the taste that this fish allows.
My my, my my, oh give me fish
My my, my my, oh give me fish.

It’s late in the evening
fish on the side
I’ve been sat with you
For most of the night
Ignoring everybody here
I wish you would disappear
So maybe I could make trouble now

I met you at the shelter then jumped into your car
I shared some love with you while I gave your mother a scar.
She asked me what’s my favorite color, so I responded with charm.
Said it was green, now is my new home very far?
I took my claws out and a bite just for fun,
what do you mean I can’t be on the table and run?
Scratched some more then one more fish for the car,
banned your jukebox, and got up to sleep.

The Chair

Thanks for the chair,
I don’t have enough
in fact the one I am on
is just not up to snuff.
Give me a minute
and I’ll check it out.
Just cool your horses,
you don’t have to shout.
I don’t understand
what you’re rambling about
but I’ve decided to stay
so why do you pout?
This chair, it will do,
it’s comfortable to me.
Just bring me a blanket
and a spot of tea.

Oh, you think this is yours?
Well, we’ll just have to see
since all of this house
belongs to beautiful me.

Leaving

I know you are leaving,
but I really don’t care.
As long as you do your job
before you go to the fair.

Make sure that I have water
and don’t forget the food;
clean my litter box well
so I’m not in a foul mood.

Have fun or don’t,
it’s no matter to me,
but know that with a cat
is the best place to be.

Annoying

I was sleeping peacefully
before you came along
strumming your guitar
and singing that song.

Have you any clue
how annoying you are,
walking around the house
like a crazy pop star?

It’s not just an annoyance,
you waking me up,
but disturbing the peace
like a riled-up pup.

How will I function
on so little rest?
A cat needs 23 hours
to be at her absolute best.

Skunked

I just want to be on my porch
and enjoy the summer night
as I wait for my foxy friend,
visible only by moonlight.

I never asked you to come
and I don’t get why you are here
this food is not for you,
I thought that I made that clear.

We are both black and white,
that’s obvious to tell
but you can be certain we differ
since you quite clearly smell.

So be on your way quickly
and please leave me be
while I wait for my true friend
to join me for tea.

Take it from a Cat

The world is simple from my eyes,
I wish humans could see the same.
A nice nap and a meal will do
or maybe a cat and mouse game.

I fill my days with love for myself
so call me selfish if you will,
but I’ll never really hate you
unless you try to give me a pill.

Sure I am not loyal like a dog
but I think my pride’s enough
at least I spread no hatred
over superficial stuff.

Yes, I know I’ve killed,
but just a mouse or two
and not because of hatred
or who they prayed to.

I may not be the best judge
but at least I can see
that love will get me dinner faster
than will negativity.

What’s Wrong?

You leave me alone for hours
in this sweltering room
with not a thing to do.
My tea is on the dresser
which is way too far to move.

I’ve been sleeping now for hours,
which if you were home,
that’s what I’d do.
But sleeping all alone,
doesn’t that seem wrong to you?

What have I done wrong?
I don’t deserve this.
At least give me a clue,
maybe it’s something I can fix
by simply scratching you.

Parkour

They run and jump
and dive and leap
and climb and fly
from tree to tree.
Their bushy tails tall
and their little claws discreet
as they chase each other
with cheetah-like speed.
They flip and flop
and bend and reach
and wrangle up
the kids they teach.

They move about
before my eyes
as I sit and wait.
There is do doubt
I’d eat these guys
if ever my dinner’s late.
