A voice in the wind,
carries your soul straight to mine;
now, we are complete.
Rarely what they seem,
human beings will disappoint.
But sometimes surprise.
An overcast day
a couch, a blanket, you, me
what more could we need?
a get well soon card,
a bouquet of flowers too
what good do they do?
You howl at the moon
while I shun the light of day
where wolves will find love.
Twenty-five crunches
followed by one hundred squats;
a heart out of shape.
A few candles burn
and the light of flame flickers
in time with my heart.
We watch the old films
since they hold the most substance.
Oh, those were the days.
Some friends come and go
and some seem always to stay
deep within our hearts.
Your steady breathing
and you wrapped up in my arms;
my heart is content.
