like you or I;
if it bleeds too long
the words will die.
So always take care

My breath billows away
like a smoker’s residue
caught in the wind
turning the world gray.
I should be chilled,
since my cheeks are red,
but in your presence
it’s with warmth I’m filled.

A smile crosses your face
as I cuddle up next to you
and my gentle purr starts to stir
with your favorite thing to do.
I stay a while and make you think
that I love this closeness too
but really I was just cold

This is a robbery
give me all your heart
I’ll keep it safely guarded
